Dům Kultury (Ostrava)

Dům Kultury is the home of the Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra. Located in the centre of Ostrava, it is used for concerts, rehearsals and recordings and houses two studios that are regularly used for orchestral recordings.

Ostrava is one of the Czech Republic’s largest cities and the centre of many of the regions arts and music activities.  It is easily accessible by train from Prague or directly by plane to nearby Leoš Janáček Airport.

  • Ostrava’s Leoš Janáček Airport is served by several airlines including RyanAir, and Czech Airlines.

  • Regular trains run throughout the day to and from Prague.  We recommend the train company Leo Express for this journey.
